About CyCite
A research desk for Cyprus advocates
CyCite is a legal research service for advocates practising in Cyprus. Ask a question in Greek or English and it finds Cyprus judgments and statutes, English case law, EU and ECHR material and the Official Gazette, then opens each authority at the passage the answer relies on.
What it is for
To get an advocate to the right authority quickly, and to make it easy to check. The text of every authority is on the shelf and one click away; the desk orders it the way a Cyprus court expects it cited, and says so plainly when it has nothing on a point.
How it works
- Authority is text, not summary: CyCite cites only what it has retrieved and read.
- Every answer follows the Cyprus citation order.
- An alternative source is always named, so the text can be checked there.
- When there is no authority, the answer says so.
- Judgment stays with the advocate. CyCite is a research aid, not legal advice.
