Refunds and cancellation
How the 14-day trial, cancellation and the EU right of withdrawal work.
The 14-day trial
CyCite Starter and Pro begin with a 14-day trial. Your card is collected up front and charged only after the trial, and only if you have not cancelled. Encelyte Bar is invoiced and starts when the invoice is settled, unless a trial is agreed in writing. The library stays free without an account.
Cancel any time
Cancel in the Stripe customer portal, reached from Manage billing on your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access until then. There is no cancellation fee. A period already begun is not refunded, except as the right of withdrawal or the law requires.
EU right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Access to the desk begins immediately when the trial starts, with your consent given by starting it (the consent line on the pricing page). If you withdraw during the trial you are not charged. After a paid period has started, write to [email protected]; we treat that as cancellation at the end of the period unless a statutory refund still applies, in which case we refund the unused part.

VAT invoices
Stripe issues VAT invoices for every charge and they are available from the customer portal. Prices are tax-exclusive; VAT is added at checkout through Stripe Tax. EU businesses with a valid VAT ID are reverse-charged.
